Climate Women Media Action is a non-profit organization that mentors, and supports female journalists, newsrooms and media organisations to champion impactful climate coverage that encourages action. Founded in 2023 by a team of experts, CWMA supports female journalists to transform how the profession covers the pressing issues of our time. Unless news outlets around the world include women’s voices at the frontline of climate coverage, there will never be equality.

Our trainings are structured to equip female journalists with skills in conceptualizing constructive stories on climate science, adaptation strategies, and effective communication. We always issue regular calls for interested journalists to apply for the training.
Whenever an opportunity arises, we share application forms on this website and our social media platforms. You shall be required to fill out the form and provide the necessary detail for evaluation by our team. Successful applicants are always contacted.
We publish stories about climate change from journalists in Uganda and Africa. We regularly issue calls for story pitches, in which we share a pitch decks to filled by aspiring storytellers and reporters.
